Our Story

Just as your life has a story to tell, so do we at Kain’s Photography. Kain’s Photography was started in 2005 by us, Jenna and Isaac Kain. We married each other at the young ages of 19 and 21. Love at first sight, and married within the year.  We have been working side by side ever since. Isaac came armed with photography experience and Jenna graduated from SUNY Oswego, where she studied Photography and Business. Since then, we have photographed 100’s of weddings and thousands of people.  We have worked with several associate photographers over the years but, our core team has always been us.

Our history is both one of deep roots and adventure.  Our family’s roots are in Upstate NY, but have also lived elsewhere in NY State as well as overseas in the Republic of Georgia (Eastern Europe). Our experiences and time living abroad has given us a love for different cultures, customs, and scenery which we love to include in our photography. We are now settling down in Ithaca and we love our new hometown!

We use a story-telling approach to capture the narrative of the wedding day as well as our portraits.  There is so much more to the story than just the “I do’s”.  The history and emotion in each family needs to be shown. It’s important that our clients feel comfortable with us as their photographer so that we can tell the fullness of their story. We are so honored to have been trusted by many brides, grooms, families, professionals, businesses, etc for over our 13 years in business.  We hope that you will trust us to tell your story as well.
